CROWD9 is a blockchain-powered crowdfunding platform that uses non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as proof-of-contribution and governance mechanisms to align owner-backer interests. Through our platform, project accountability is enforced by design through on-chain governance and backer protection. We are focused on building a chain-agnostic product that provides a seamless crowdfunding experience for all users in Web3.

Backer Protection enables backers to protect campaign funds from misuse by creators or from a complete investment failure. It provides a financial incentive for creators to be better prepared before launching their campaigns and more realistic when setting initial expectations. Should creators fail to deliver on their promises, backers will have the option to recover the remaining fund amount instead of granting it to the creator to finish the project.

Both the creator and backer can create a proposal for a request. Using NFTs as voting power, backer may vote on key decisions such as the increase/decrease of withdrawable fund. This will work with a voting system where backers will reject or accept proposals that were submitted. Each backer holds voting power weighted according to the amount of non-fungible token (NFT) they have minted.
